それは“歌手デビュー”だった・・
（大学時代のコンサート会場にて）
中学時代からギブソンを片手に作詞・作曲も手掛けた
卒業時、長井記者が同級生に宛てた一文にはこんな記述が・・
「人は、声をはりあげ絶叫する時があっていいと思うんです。
人は、気分よくうたっている時がいちばんの自由です」

ふるさと想う こころは同じ
語り明かせば 泣けてくる
強がり言っても 一人で泣いた
熱い涙が しみる夜

帰ってゆける ふるさとは
遠きにありて 想うものと
ふるさとあれど 帰れないのは
振り切れぬ思いがあったから
裏切れなかったあの娘（こ）だから
後ろ姿に別れを言う
これ以上 もう会ってはだめだ
余計に別れが辛くなる

ふるさとに似た なつかしさだけ
思い出させてくれた娘（ひと）
恋人に似た ふたりだったけど
二度と寄り添わぬ ふたつの影
恋人に似た 白い雪の世界
せつない雪が 降り止まぬ

だけど 都会では ヤキイモが振り向かれないんだよ～
ほかにオイシイおかしがあって振り向かれないんだよ～
いまの都会じゃ、ふとり過ぎのこどもたちであふれかえる
