「プロジェクトBurma」とは―
11月7日にビルマで実施される総選挙を前に、可視化報道！APF Liveの取材班がビルマ国内に潜入、ビルマ軍事政権の非道と真の民主化を求めるビルマ国民の実情をありのままにお伝えします。
今回は、軍事政権による政治的・民族的迫害を受け、タイ側に逃れた難民らが暮らすキャンプの日常を取材・撮影した冨田きよむカメラマンの報告・第7弾です。
東の空が白んでくるのは５時３０分過ぎだ。子供たちのレストラン（その３参照）脇から三日月が見えた。
山深く位置するこのキャンプは朝が遅い。日が昇るのは７時過ぎ。
学校の掃除は朝、生徒が行う。
子供たちであふれる。４５０人の子供が学んでいる。
登校途中で弁当を落っことして中身をぶちまけてしまった。
名残惜しそうに振り返りつつ、学校への道を歩く。ちなみにこの弁当の残骸は犬がきれいに食べつくす。
ビルマのちまきは大変おいしい。
学校は教室の周りに美しい植物が植えられている。
子供たちは英語も学んでいる。ただ、「３」のスペルは「three」だったと思う。「thyee」ではなかったと思うけど、まあ、大丈夫！
生きた鶏の足を引っつかんで売りに行くのだそうだ。鶏は観念して暴れなかった。
表通りからちょっと入ったら若い衆がチェスをやっていた。写真とっていいかと聞くと、にこっと笑って「YES」。笑顔がいいのに、カメラを向けると難しい顔をする。
店先にぶら下がっている豚肉。赤い色はスパイスか？
このキャンプには水道が張り巡らされている。もちろん飲めないけれど。
放課後家に買える前にグランドでひとしきり遊んだ記憶は私にもある。夕暮れて腹が減って死にそうになって家に帰った。懐かしい風景を見た。
洗濯物を取り込んでさあ夕飯のしたくと忙しいお母さん。まもなく子供が帰ってくる。
