2007年9月にビルマのヤンゴンで起きた市民や僧侶らによる大規模な反政府デモから3年、都内にある国連ビルの前で在日ビルマ人ら約50人が先月25日、ビルマ軍事政権に対する抗議集会を行った。

2007年9月に起きた反政府デモは、サフラン色の僧衣にちなんで欧米のメディアから、「サフラン革命」と呼ばれている。
国連人権理事会によると、サフラン革命では軍事政権の武力弾圧によって、APF通信社の長井健司記者を含め31人が死亡し、74人が行方不明としている。
在日ビルマ人で民主化運動グループのリーダーの男性は、「大勢の国民が殺された。そしていまも多くの国民が不当に拘留されている。私たちは本当の民主主義が欲しい！」と訴えた。

I have an understanding of what you’re saying, but you just seem to have forgotten that you will find some other people within the world who view this issue for what it genuinely is and may perhaps not agree with you. You might be turning away many of people who may have been supporters of your website.
