【追悼記事】『ふるさと』『ヤキイモの詩』作詞・長井健司

「誰も行かないところに、誰かが行かねばならない」が口癖だった長井健司記者の夢
それは“歌手デビュー”だった・・

（大学時代のコンサート会場にて）
中学時代からギブソンを片手に作詞・作曲も手掛けた
卒業時、長井記者が同級生に宛てた一文にはこんな記述が・・
「人は、声をはりあげ絶叫する時があっていいと思うんです。
人は、気分よくうたっている時がいちばんの自由です」

40代半ばを過ぎて尚、歌手デビューを諦めてはいなかった長井記者
ここに長井記者が作詞した『ふるさと』と『ヤキイモ』を紹介します

ふるさと想うこころは同じ
語り明かせば泣けてくる
強がり言っても一人で泣いた
熱い涙がしみる夜

帰ってゆけるふるさとは
遠きにありて想うものと
ふるさとあれど帰れないのは
振り切れぬ思いがあったから
裏切れなかったあの娘（こ）だから
後ろ姿に別れを言う
これ以上もう会ってはだめだ
余計に別れが辛くなる

ふるさとに似たなつかしさだけ
思い出させてくれた娘（ひと）
恋人に似たふたりだったけど
二度と寄り添わぬふたつの影
恋人に似た白い雪の世界
せつない雪が降り止まぬ

ホクホク食べる　ヤキイモだい
ヤキイモの　安売りの
おいちゃん来るの　待ってたんだよ
ヤキイモのおいちゃんが　今年もまた来る
街角にひとときの　こころのオアシス
「ヤキイモがおいしいよ」って　街角に響く
ふるさとに届くよう　「とうちゃん、元気だ」
だけど　都会では　ヤキイモが振り向かれないんだよ～
ほかにオイシイおかしがあって振り向かれないんだよ～
いまの都会じゃ、ふとり過ぎのこどもたちであふれかえる
本当の甘いおやつを　街角のどこかに忘れていやしませんか～
