ビルマ人ジャーナリストらでつくるビルマメディア協会（BMA，本部・ノルウェー）は先月24日、
タイ北部チェンマイで第2回長井健司賞の授賞式を行った。
＜長井健司賞＞
ビルマで2007年9月、反政府デモを取材中に治安部隊に射殺された映像ジャーナリスト
長井健司記者（当時50）の精神を受け継ぐためビルマメディア協会が創設した。
受賞者はビルマの民主化について真実の報道をしたビルマ人記者が対象。
第2回の受賞者は、軍事政権に報道の自由が制限される中、
同政権の非道を訴える内容の報道をしたことで現在も不当に逮捕・拘束されている
ビルマ人記者、ウィン・モウさん（48）とラ・ラ・ウィンさん（26）の二人。
授賞式では、逮捕・拘束されている本人らに代わって、タイを拠点に活動するビルマ人記者の仲間が
APF通信社から贈られた長井さんの顔写真入りの盾を受け取った。
