【取材記】ﾋﾞﾙﾏ政治囚と長井健司写真展

「ジャーナリストを含むビルマ政治囚の即時解放を求めて～
緊急報告会と記者会見」在日ビルマ人らが議員会館で開催

在日ビルマ人と超党派の「ミャンマーの民主化を支援する議員連盟」は衆議院第２議員会館で
今月10日、ビルマの実情や政治囚の置かれている状況について、日本の国会議員に理解を
深めてもらおうと、ビルマ国内で政治囚として捕らわれているビルマ人ジャーナリストらが撮影した
写真などを展示する報告会を行った

また、ビルマのヤンゴンで2007年9月27日に市民や僧侶らのデモ行進を取材中、ビルマ軍兵士の
凶弾によって命を奪われた長井健司記者が、生前に世界の紛争地で撮影した子供たちの写真なども
展示された

長井記者殺害事件から2年近く、さまざまな国際社会の批判を受けながらも、ビルマ軍事政権は
政府に反対する国民を逮捕・拘束するという強硬姿勢を続け、今も、市民やジャーナリストら
2,100人以上の政治囚がビルマ各地の強制収容所に捕らわれている
ノーベル平和賞受賞者のアウンサン・スー・チー氏においては、5月下旬、6年間にわたる
自宅軟禁の期限が切れるとみられていたが、米国人男性が同氏の自宅に侵入したことが
きっかけとなり、新たに最大5年の拘束刑をされようとしている

Governments and central banks round the planet have done everything they can to prop up failed lending institutions, and lending that was risky from the start. We will not have a proper sustainable recovery without an end to deficit spending and lots of lending institutions going bust. I find discussion about asset finance and loans a bit meaningless. I also think the home prices have to reduce a lot even now. I mean why would you want to own a home in Spain or France? Isn’t it much cheaper to rent? Regards, Darnell Grabarczyk
