ビルマ軍事政権はきょう、国家防御法違反の罪で起訴された民主化運動指導者
アウン・サン・スー・チー氏の審理を開始した
これを受け、在日ビルマ人ら約400人がきょう午後2時半ころから、
ビルマ大使館（東京・品川）の前で抗議活動を行った
「スー・チーさんとすべての政治囚の開放を・・」と書かれた横断幕
参加者らはスー・チー氏の写真を手に、
「フリー！フリー！アウン・サン・スー・チー」とシュプレヒコールを繰り返し、
スーチー氏の早期釈放を訴えた
ある民主化運動グループの在日ビルマ人リーダーは、ビルマ大使館に向かって、
「スー・チー氏と全ての政治囚を解放しなければ、我々は様々な方法で戦う」
と宣言文を読み上げた
大使館の門は閉ざされ、応答は一切なかった
参加者の足元にはタン・シュエ国家平和発展評議会議長の写真
