参加者らはスー・チー氏の写真を手に、
「フリー！フリー！アウン・サン・スー・チー」とシュプレヒコールを繰り返し、
スーチー氏の早期釈放を訴えた
ある民主化運動グループの在日ビルマ人リーダーは、ビルマ大使館に向かって、
「スー・チー氏と全ての政治囚を解放しなければ、我々は様々な方法で戦う」
と宣言文を読み上げた
大使館の門は閉ざされ、応答は一切なかった
