日本人ジャーナリスト長井健司さん殺害の真相究明を求める署名
ビルマ（ミャンマー）の最大都市ヤンゴンで軍事政権に抗議する僧侶や民衆によるデモを取材していた日本人ジャーナリスト、長井健司さん（50）が無惨にも射殺されたのは2007年9月27日のことでした。まもなく1年が経過します。
日本の警視庁組織犯罪対策課は鑑識の結果、長井さんが１メートル以内の至近距離から兵士に撃たれたものであると発表しました。
長井さんは私たちの母国ビルマで平和的に行われていたデモの様子を世界に知らせようと取材していたのです。軍事政権はなんの警告もなく、兵士に殺害を前提とした発砲を命じました。明らかに意図した殺戮です。
国際社会の一員として、私たちは母国で行なわれたこの残虐な行為を許すことはできません。
一年が経とうというのに、長井さんが亡くなるまで手から離さなかったビデオカメラとテープは未だに返却されていません。 私たち在日ビルマ人は、母国治安部隊による国民への弾圧を糾弾し、長井さんの殺害について強く抗議します。また、長井さんの殺害の真相を明らかにするとともに、犯人の特定と厳罰に処すことを求めます。遺品であるビデオカメラとテープについても内容の消去など一切の改ざんをすることなく、返却することを求めます。
ビルマの支援国であり、友好国である日本の政府、それに日本の国民のみなさん、ジャーナリストの方々にも、この長井さんの殺害に関して、ビルマ軍事政権へさらに強い圧力をかけるため、行動に参加してくださるよう心からお願いいたします。
私たちは、日本政府に対して、下記の点を速やかに実現されるよう強く要請いたします。
１．長井健司さん殺害の真相究明をビルマ軍事政権へ強く要請すること。
２．長井健司さんのビデオカメラ、テープなどの全遺品の早期返還をこれまで以上に強くビルマ軍事政権へ要請し、これら遺品を確実に取り戻すこと。

Help! Yesterday I was working 2nd shift at work and a dude walked up to our register to pay his tab and he reached into his shorts pocket and pulled out a dollar bill and said, “This is all I’ve got in with me. I do not have the rest cash to pay you.” Then he did the most shocking thing. He instsantly turned the dollar bill into a credit card.
